Freestyle Events

The East Side Wrestling Club is committed to ensuring our Athletes have the opportunity to compete throughout the Spring and Summer. The following page contains information about several Freestyle events leading up to the 2026 US Marine Corps National Freestyle and Greco Roman tournament.

Saturday April 4th: Southwest Ohio Qualifying tournament @Wittenberg University: USA Wrestling Events

April 11-12th: State Duals Festival @Heidelberg University: (Waiting on more information to be posted about this tournament)

Saturday April 18th: Northeast Ohio Qualifier @Garfield CLC: USA Wrestling Events

Saturday May 9th: 14U and Under State Championships & Northeast Ohio Qualifier @Elyria High School: USA Wrestling Events

Saturday May 2nd: Central Ohio Qualifier @Dublin Coffman High School: USA Wrestling Events

May 15-17th: Freestyle National Central Region Championship @Louisville Kentucky: USA Wrestling Events

May 23-24: 16U/Junior Freestyle & Greco State Championships @Ohio Northern University: USA Wrestling Events

US Marine Corps National Freestyle and Greco Tournament:

Dates: July 10-18 2026 USA Wrestling Events

State teams shall be limited to four (4) wrestlers per age per style per weight class. Wrestlers who earn automatic qualifier status shall not count against any limit.

Automatic Qualifier – Junior & 16U Nationals:

The following shall serve as automatic qualifiers at Junior & 16U Nationals and shall not count against any roster limit:

  • Current year 1st-6th Place at USA Wrestling Regionals (placement must be in the same age and style)

  • Current year 1st-8th Place at U15 Nationals (placement must be in the same style)

  • Current year 1st-8th Place at U17 Nationals (placement must be in the same style)

  • Current year 1st-8th Place at U20 Nationals (placement must be in the same style)

  • Previous year 1st-8th Place at Junior Nationals (placement must be in the same style)

  • Previous year 1st-8th Place at 16U Nationals (placement must be in the same style)

  • Previous year age-level U.S. World Team member (must be in the same style)
